EXPERT INSIGHT FROM 25+ EAGLE FORD E&P SPEAKERS
TIGHT OIL EAGLE FORD 2011
THIRD NORTH AMERICAN TIGHT OIL CONGRESS FOCUSING ON DEVELOPING HYDRAULIC FRACTURING TECHNIQUES IN THE EAGLE FORD OIL WINDOW
The Eagle Ford oil window hosts a phenomenal volume of the most lucrative unconventional oil reserves in North America and, with hydraulic fracturing technology driving forward profitability on a yearly basis, it is essential that techniques and strategies for oil recovery continue to develop at low cost with speed and efficiency.
In the geologically discontinuous Eagle Ford formation, determining the most cost effective and high recovery completions design, from the proppant type used to the number of frac stages executed, is a continuing challenge. As acreage is quickly leased up in the play’s oil window, incumbent operators across South Texas are continually testing different combinations of completions variables to determine which will yield maximum recovery at the lowest costs.
Tight Oil Eagle Ford 2011, will bring together leading thought leaders and technical directors from E&P operators across the play to discuss and examine the latest production results and the methods used for determining optimum recovery completions strategies and driving down production costs.
Day one will hear operators explaining how they have chosen proppant types and fluid concentrations to develop a recipe for maximum oil recovery in the Eagle Ford. Frac stages, spacing and orientation will also each be discussed followed by presentations on frac sizes and pumping pressures, frac technologies and availability and water sourcing.
Day two will examine how the discontinuous geological characteristics of the Eagle Ford can be understood to enable the effective application of drilling and completions techniques. Reservoir deliverability will be discussed relative to thermal maturity, reservoir pressure, lithology, porosity, saturation and permeability to identify how rock characteristics can be exploited to increase recovery. The conference will end with presentations identifying successful drilling techniques and technologies that can be used to improve oil recovery throughout the life of the well including lateral lengths, drill orientations and faulting and steering techniques.

LEARNING BENEFITS
For E&P operators to fully exploit the potential of the lucrative oil reserves in the Eagle Ford oil window, it is vital to...
...develop the most cost-effective hydraulic fracturing and completions techniques to maximize cost-effective recovery and drainage.
As oil prices continue to remain high, the Eagle Ford oil window is emerging as one of the most lucrative unconventional reserves in the USA, with E&P operators rushing to exploit it. The race is now on to develop the most effective hydraulic fracturing and completions techniques to capitalize on the huge volumes of reserves in place in the play. It is only by bringing together the latest results and findings from oil production that the industry can truly maximize the worth of the Eagle Ford.
Tight Oil Eagle Ford 2011 is the 3rd North American Tight Oil Congress and is the only event concentrating exclusively on the oil window of the Eagle Ford, focusing directly on advances in hydraulic fracturing techniques specific to this play. The congress will see VPs, Directors and experts from the Eagle Ford’s leading operators consolidate their knowledge to collectively develop methodologies and techniques for maximizing recovery and increasing the profitability of oil production.
Leading E&P operators at Tight Oil Eagle Ford 2011 will be delivering solutions and findings on:
FRAC PROPPANTS: Evaluating proppant types and concentrations to develop a recipe for maximum oil recovery in the Eagle Ford
FRAC STAGES: Appraising how frac stages and spacing have been adapted to cost effectively enhance well drainage in the Eagle Ford
RESERVOIR PRESSURE: Investigating how to maximize recovery when working with reservoir pressures specific to the Eagle Ford oil window
RESERVOIR CHARACTERIZATION: Understanding how to identify and exploit reservoir characteristics that have the highest impact on well deliverability
DRILLING: Identifying successful drilling techniques and technologies that can improve oil recovery throughout the life of a well
